§ 118-1. Permit required for installation or alteration.

No person, firm or corporation shall install, construct or substantially alter or reconstruct any gas-burning furnace or equipment used or to be used for the purpose of heating any building or structure within the village unless a permit therefor is first issued by the Building Inspector or the Mayor of the village. No such permit shall be granted unless a plan or assembly drawing shall be submitted, which shall show construction of the furnace and equipment and indicating its location in the building, all moving parts and gas and air passages and that installation and manufacture complies with the requirements of the New York State Construction Code and such other information as the Building Inspector may require. The person, firm or corporation making the installation or alteration shall deposit with the Village Clerk the sum of not less than $25 to guarantee compliance with the provisions of this chapter.
